James W. Lane has been a career social studies/history educator, having retired from a 35 year career at Orange High School on the east side of Cleveland, and from a seven year stint as an adjunct professor of education at John Carroll University. Lane has travelled and studied extensively in many foreign countries and has developed a specialty in Asian Studies. He has been a social studies leader on the local, state, national and international levels and has been honored for his teaching, leadership, and charity work on numerous occasions. Lane has acted as an educational consultant and has served on the advisory boards of many educational organizations, including the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. He is a popular speaker and is a published author currently working on several book projects. He has participated in a large number of Siegal courses as a class member and is now stepping into the Leader-Teacher role.
